thisiswhy: veganchameleon: TODAY’S THING THAT MAKES ME HAPPY = We have an extraordinary President.  And apparently this photo isn’t retouched — it’s one of his speechwriters in costume for some reason. I’m really into this. I think all his speechwriters should be permanently in costume. [pushes up nerd glasses] In case anybody’s curious, it’s a staged photo that’s the punchline to one of Obama’s jokes in his speech to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (the joke starts at about 8:40 but the whole thing is worth watching). Also this photo was my desktop wallpaper for a long time. I got it from the Official White House Flickr account, which is excellent overall.
